The Sea Frogs 6" Acrylic Dome Port V10 comes with its 61mm (2.4'') extension adapter ring. Designed with a 90mm (3.54'') bayonet mount. It is compatible with most Sea Frogs/Salted Line underwater housings, excluding A6xxx and RX1xx series models.

How deep can I use this dome port?

Rated for depths of up to 40 meters (130 feet).

Is it compatible with my Sea Frogs housing?

This dome uses a 90mm (3.54'') bayonet mount via the V10 extension adapter ring. It is compatible with most Salted Line / Sea Frogs housings, excluding A6xxx and RX1xx series models.

Does it come with an extension ring?

Yes — this port includes its 61mm extension adapter ring.

Acrylic or optical glass — which should I choose?

Acrylic domes give excellent image quality in most conditions and are lighter, more affordable and repairable — light scratches can be polished out. Optical glass is slightly sharper in demanding conditions and far more scratch-resistant, but it cannot be repaired once it is damaged.

6″ or 8″ — which should I choose?

The 6″ dome delivers excellent image quality in most conditions while staying compact and travel-friendly, which makes it the usual choice. The 8″ dome gives slightly better edge sharpness and a cleaner over-under split shot, at the cost of size, weight and price.

Standard or Surf Edition — which should I choose?

Optically they are the same dome. The standard carries a petal lens shade, which keeps stray light off the dome and gives the rim some protection — the usual choice for diving. The Surf Edition leaves the shade off: there is less for moving water to push against, so the rig is easier to hold steady in the surf zone and there is nothing to catch when you punch through a wave.
